Big vote for Tony's knobs

I have raised the possibility with Tony of developing the three heater controls with drilled out openings for the light to be visible where the dot is (as with the OEM knobs). I would ideally like my heater controls to be the same as the other knobs that I have fitted but I do like having the small light on the knob visible, especially at night of course.
He has said that he will consider this if there is enough interest to make it worthwhile. So my question is, who would be interested in a set of these?

The light issue really doesn't concern me enough to worry about...
I'm not sure I'd feel the need to upgrade to a MkII knob...
I would say though that these replacement knobs really are excellent and I would highly recommend them to anybody.
They really do make a huge difference to the early model console.

+1 as the knobs in questions only have a handful of settings, it's easy enough to turn all the way to the left or right if you need to get your bearingsI'm not sure I'd feel the need to upgrade to a MkII knob...

So are you saying that you would want to change the OEM metal heater controls to match Tony's radio and satnav ones (which of course you can do now), or you want to have radio and satnav controls made to match the OEM heater controls?Ice27 said:

Totally agree, now waiting for the development of the stalk replacements? I'm not sure I'd feel the need to upgrade to a MkII knob...

Tony's knobs look great, but as with Neil I wanted something which more closely matched the existing Heater Control knobs, and so looked more original. I had looked around and tried a few alternatives, but I eventually found something which I thought would work and I have fitted these to replace the stereo knobs, and I am very pleased with the results. I will post a picture of them in situ later, but if you do a search, you can see what they look like.MENTOR,506.611, KNOB, ALUMINIUM, SETSCREW
They have a Dial Diameter of 17mm and a Dial Height of 13mm, which means they are very slightly narrower than the plastic ones and they are also shorter, so they sit less proud of the console. They also come either with or without a Dial marking.
What I really want now though is to replace the seat adjustment controls with metal versions

Ooh I like the look of them! £2.13 each! Bargain. Would appreciate if you could post a picture later of them in situ. Like the look of the original heater controls with the light cut out and the grooved sides. Do they just push on? Is the fitting round with a flat side? The original plastic radio knobs seem to be 17mm also. The fitting is round but without a flat side. They do have a grub screw which can be tightened onto the flat side of the shaft; once fitted they are quite secure.
When I measured the original plastic radio knobs I thought they were 18mm, but that was with a crummy ruler so it could be wrong.
