What is the average quoted cost for a clutch replacement for a V8v? Of course the sensible thing to do is get a BR one fitted instead. But I would like to know what people have been quoted so far...
I recall seeing costs ranging between £2,000 and £3,000 depending upon where you go (AM dealer or independent). Personally, if it goes I would opt for the BR replacement for better driveability and longevity. May cost a bit more but ultimately an improvement over OEM
Agreed. With regards to upgrades BR are definitely the way to go. I assumed that price range too. I ask only because a V8V I'm looking at hasn't had a clutch change/replacement and is 45k miles old. Might be worth trying to barter somewhat.
