I've spent the last few months looking for a DBS but haven't found one that meets my spec at the right price. Looked at a couple but the trade in offers for my V8V were well short of what I was hoping.

So for now I'm sticking with my 4.7 V8V and on Monday it's off to Bamford Rose for Mike to fit upgrade manifold and cats. My dilemma is should I leave on the QS supersports back box or switch back to the OEM box with valve switch?

Have any of you got the full system with supersports box? How loud is it? I'm not too bothered about the ability to switch to quiet mode and wouldn't want the new system to be quieter than my current OEM cats and QS supersports box.

I suppose I can always switch back to the original box later if I find it too loud. I've got a couple of days to make my mind up so thought I'd canvas your views.

Leaving the QS back box on will be VERY LOUD
I drove Jessica with that configuration and it was the only down side to a great upgrade wink

Having been driven inside and listened outside Jessica I can't imagine how loud it was with the Quicksilver backbox on. The OEM box is really loud and I can't see you wanting anything more than that.

I have a quicksilver Super sport backbox and will at somepoint be changing air filter, cats and manifols etc...

I will be leaving the quicksilver exhaust on, Can imagine the noise will be fantastic!!! A flame spitting monster...

My cars not my every day drive, so only used at weekends etc.. so not too much of a worry, but if it was my main car then I probably wouldnt want it any louder than it is now....

Be aware of the dreaded resonance drone, this can be a tad nasty with some free flow cat set-ups.

I read that BR will offer a valve switch FOC, that sounds the way to go, LOUD or stealth according to requirements, and if you are spending £££'s then no doubt they will swap the back box if it is too loud.

I had the BR conversation and it is awsome!!
However I kept the standard rear box and BR fitted the switch which is great.
With the valves always open the car is incredible, but when you are on a journey or with the other half it is nice to be able to have them closed and return to serene cruising!!

Hope this helps
