Unbelievable they showed this new car in this color and with those wheels.............. :-(
Like XXX Angel XXX I did see the car in real life one week ago in Germany in two much better colors (Flame Orange and Carbon) and with much better wheels, and then it looks impressiive and balanced.
I remember they did launch the DBS Volante also in a terrible color combo (red outside and brown interior and roof,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,help...........) and it took me many many months and seeing many other colors to let me forget this "nightmare" and appreciate the design.
If somebody would show me these "red AM310" pics without explanation, I would not have guessed it is the same car as I saw last week at AM........
Let's hope more and better color combis will show up, and it might grow on you. But since there will be no manual transmission, it will be not for me anyway.

Sorry, but can't get over the old guy in those pics that is wearing a sweater like a cape with the sleeves tied around his neck. Any guy doing that after the 80s should have his man card revoked!I loved the mule shots and I love it now (just not that colour/wheel combo). I agree with Lady Topaz, it's progressive yet undeniably Aston. Ive read the wird 'hideous" being used to describe it - is certainly not a word that has any relevance. Did somebody say they'd just saved £120k by deciding not to buy one? At 120k I would snap their hands off!
For me it's just the Japanese flare that I don't like.
The front lip, deep side sills and boot spoiler are just a little too much. The rear lights feel like they've regressed in style. I think the current DBS look more current. And surprising they didn't implement a more one-77 style for the rear end.
I do like the overall shape, not too keen on the side strake positioning and lines from it in to the door.
I think a "softer" look on the front and rear bumpers/splitters and sills would make the car look nicer.
Besides, it matters not what I think. It's how many pre orders they get from launch date!

For me the purest AM (elegance + sport + clean line) it is still the DB9 and this is an evolution of the DBS.
I do not like everything but I think it looks like an AM (and I hope in some minor adjustments for the production version)

I shall remain consistent to my original point - fantastic car, and IF it is to be a DBS replacement then it is certainly in tune with the sharper, harsher, more aggressive ethos.
I recall the similar dichotomy of the Virage as the so-called DB9 replacement - wasn't overly impressed but as soon as I had a test drive I was smitten !!!
FWIW I don't belive AM can make an ugly car, though I do concede that improvements can be made in certain areas at the design stage.
Oh, and stop drip-feeding bulls

They all look current IMO. But like the zagato the 310 just looks "different".
In a way it's kinda good that Aston now covers a wide spectrum of taste. From the very elegance of the DB9, through to young and sporty with the V8VS and V12V, to the older sporty types of DBS and Virage, to the more extremes with the zagato and 310, through to....the cygnet? (where does that place?)
But the 310 does have its place.
