What do you all use for painting in chips on the black door mirror mountings. I seem to be getting a few chips on my driver side mounting. Is it just ordinary black touch-up paint or is somethhing like Hammerite better?
They are powder coated aluminium, you will need to cover them or the water will oxidise the Al and bubble the coating off. They are a PITA to replace (had mine done under warranty) I'd try some semi matt black touch up paint (black exhaust paint comes up semi matt)
Thanks for your replies. I do see some bubbles under the paint so I guess they have been touched up before. I'll find some matt black and paint 'em up.
