Vantage security Question

Went to Cinema at Star City on Friday and got out of my V12V only to find I could not lock the doors. I got in and out, turned car over several times but no joy. So I foolishly took risk of leaving car unlocked. CCTV posters everywhere, thought I would be okay. Got back, drove home and thought I would post a question about this locking problem over weekend.
Got in car today and realised my jacket, which wife tells me is Gucci is gone as are Rayban and Oakley glasses and in boot on left there was something held in by straps that is missing.
So any idea what happened to locking system? And what have I lost from boot?
Whilst not to chuffed about some scroate stealing my stuff, more annoyed with car failing to do what it should for £100k+.

sorry to hear this, as you wrote yoursel maybe not so good idea to park it this way, but ok.
Never happened to me in 6 years of AM ownership, but it might be the boot/trunk not locked correctly causing this?
About what you lost in the boot: could be either the Nav DVDs and/or the trickle charger and/or the tyre repair set+pump

Craig - In my 2010 V12V the item in the boot held in by straps is the puncture repair kit - for some reason they moved it from behind the panel on the drivers side to the "exposed" position on the passenger side (buy a Continental replacement - exactly the same and a lot cheaper than the AM one).

Thanks for the sympathy from some of you. I checked boot but I reckon it could well have been something to do with the windows. The driver's side door glass seems to not run up straight in the rubber channel and it all knarls up. Obviously a warranty issue I am due to claim on but it may well of stopped the glass rising high enough.
If the windows dont rise all the way up could be that you have let the battery drain. Have you had any problem with the battery going flat recently?
If the battery goes flat the windows will lose their memory and will need to be reset. Until they are reset they will not rise up properly into the seal. This is to stop the glass from becoming damaged if you need to open/close the door when the battery is flat. However i wasnt aware that this would stop the car from locking.
You can reset the windows by opening the door and lowering the window. Hold the button down until the window drops fully and you hear a click, then raise the windows back up. Hope this is of some help and not teaching you to "suck eggs" so to speak.
However, I must agree with some of the other members on this and ask what would possibly make you think it was a wise idea to leave a v12 vantage unlocked... and at star city of all places! Im sorry you have lost a few of your personal possessions but you really did have a common sense failure on that one. On the flip side, at least the car it self wasn't damaged / torched, and you only have a few items taken.

Same problem on mine resolved by fitting new ecu workings within the dash for the ecu When you pull the ecu out sometimes a micro switch doesn't move and the car therefore thinks the key is in and won't lock the car! I found if you push the against the resistance of the spring a couple of times when extracting , the micro switch closes . You can actually feel it . Hope that makes sense .

I wondered that... I guess they just try every door of every car that has something worth pinching in it dw
And security does nothing to stop them...
Have you been back to ask to view the CCTV?
They have a control centre there that should have footage all round and will hopefully give you an idea what happened.
My initial reaction was that your signal to lock had been jammed, thus the thieving gits knew your car was open and helped themselves. But if you have the window issue then that's some lucky odds for a thief to find any Aston unlocked and feel free to help themselves.

Up yoursI leave the roof off my ragtops all the time, not much different to being unlocked. So far, I have been lucky I guess...
