Is this a particularly cheap example?
Seems like good value, clearly a few miles on there but a very recent full service from Grange (with new front brakes and clutch/flywheel! £7ks worth!) would indicate it's been well looked after.
Comments? My friend is looking for a car in this price range and I reckon he'd love it

Interesting... Bogie will agree here, that this is the path of what happened with Elises; you found a cheap leggy one and then put a Honda/Audi lump in it and had a mentalist of a machine.
If you were thinking 'I want a Bamford Rose' car, this would be where you started! £23k(ish) for this and stick a 4.7 475bhp GT4 engine in it, switchable dampers and 6 pot brakes. Untouchable car for FAR less money than a 4.7 with way more power, way better brakes and way better suspension; and the knowledge that they're all brand new!

Agreed. If its being bought to remain as is, then spend an extra £5k and get a sub 60k mile one. Otherwise barter for an extra grand off then put it toward a GT4 BR engine. Then it'd go from zero to hero. Bodywork looks good, so with a brand spanking butt whipping GT4 engine in it, it would not have resale issues.

resale is going to be difficult if you always have a car with an extra 60K miles on it for its age
when everyone else considers "high" mileage on one of these 10K a year, so 6 years old and 60K...this has nearly double
they need to knock another £5K off it and then you can buy it and do a 4.7 conversion , change the shocks, wheels, everything that can wear

Ah. I'm pretty sure it's being sold by a trader though, not a private seller ...or at least it's being sold by a private seller that hasn't put all the miles on it. A 117k mile car was being advertised "in the trade" a few weeks ago - I don't know for sure but would seem likely it's the same car.
Invoice shown in the advert gives address as a hotel in Romford (seen this Vantage in the hotel grounds a number of times), a few miles from Grange Brentwood where it was serviced, and the current seller being in Rossendale indicates that it's not the person who had it serviced who is now selling it.Baron Von Alders said:

Interestingly, it's just had let's say £8k spent on it (£7.1k service, plus front end paintwork and a bit of sales prep)....I reckon had it been advertised as an £18k car that was due a service it would've been snapped up and been generally accepted to be a complete bargain!

Why not?? A Mondeo with 120k on it is nothing now days...If that Vantage has been used as a motorway muncher, it'll have spent most of its life sat at 70-80 using hardly any revs..
Anything that went wrong would have been fixed....it's a 4.3 V8 so hardly stressed. It's just had a new clutch and a load of other stuff....
I wouldn't be surprised if that well used vantage has half the trouble of cars that just sit around for most of their lives..
In fact, I suspect it'd be a better car than an ex demo that's been driven by every Tom dick and Harriet, thrashed from cold and ragged through the gears every day, but only has 5k on the clock
.If I were in the market for a cheap Vantage, I'd certainly consider a high miler that's been well serviced.... BUT it would need to be cheaper than £25k

Talk about painting a rosey picture - that car could have been thrashed from cold at every opportunity My point - a factual one - is that if I were looking at a car with such high mileage it would to be used as a work dog - something the Vantage is hardly best described as.
