If you are not renewing your warranty then it doesn't really matter if the service is late because you will have no warranty anyway ????
If however you mean it's best to get your car serviced prior to the 12 month period lapsing so that any warranty items can at least be lodged then this would be a prudent course of action.
I won't swear by it but why give anyone an excuse to wriggle out of a claim?

i thought to renew the warranty you got a discount off the 140 check if done at the same time as the annual service so if you are renewing anyway does it actually matter what you do as long as you do it at least a week before the old expired.

My car has another 2.5 years of warranty on it. 6 months of the original 3 year manufacturer's warranty and 2 years of extended warranty which will start when the former runs out.
My question is, if I were a day late (for the sake of the argument) getting the service done in 6 months time, would that invalidate my 2 years extended warranty?
