Jump starting warning

Word of warninig when jump starting a V8V using the posative connection on the right hand side of the engine bay.
My mate called me today to say could'nt start his car, i could'nt be bothered to move cars around to get my vovlo out so bunged the jump leads in the boot of the V8V.
Off i go to find him and then and connect up.
Try it now voom cleo starts, i take leads off cleo turn to my car to see something squirting out by the crocadile clip on the posative terminal.
Looks like the crocadile clip has touched the air con pipe and arc'd and blown a small hole in the pipe.
A bit pissed off but i did learn something tell them to sod off and ring the AA next time
