Indeed retrofittable for enormous costs (here it is 5K euro, including top part and nav screen).My AM dealer did a very good job by making the existing panels piano black for Euro 750 (including top part and nav screen, and it looks great!

I don't think any paint or film would work on the eary cars because of that bank of buttons, but spraying the surrounding parts of the latest cars black would be simple enough, and there isn't anything illuminated under there.
Next step is to get a Vauxhall or Ford badge to go over the Aston Martin badge and it will feel much more like a mainstream mass produced car.

Before, the "silver dash" had too many different styles/shades of (silver)grey imho, the start and radio buttons and gearbox (+ surrounding) did not stand out so nice I think
With the Piano black, it has a nice contrast with the start and radio buttons as well as the gear shift + surrounding.

I notice that you previously had the alloy finish dash, so I have to wonder how this would match for the OP who already has the std piano black finish and justs wanted to upgrade the rest of the centre console.
Also its a small point but on the V12V Carbon-Black and V8S the storage bin lid is in aluminium whereas yours has been painted black. That said it makes your 750Euro deal for the whole thing including the top section and bin lid all the better value!
I have to say its a stunning and very professional job they have done, I really like it!

About the bin/ashtray: I had some thoughts about this, but in the DBS, this normally comes in some matt, grey alu, much darker than the gearbox knob and surrounding, so leaving it like that, was not looking very nice. In the V12V as well as the DBS Carbon Black editions, I think the bin/ashrey is colored alu, so the same as the gearknob, so there it can stay as it is.
Interestingly, a brand new V8V S in the showroom of my dealer had a piano black bin/ashtrey, which looked so good, I decided to do the same in my DBS too.
Of course the OP has to ask for exactly the same piano black, or otherwise respray the top part too.

The original piano finish panels are not paint sprayed on to plastic. They are true laminated wood panels that has been glued to a metal fascia and then 'piano finshed' like true high-quality furniture (same for the door caps and other piano finish pieces). While the sprayed ones look very nice, they are not true piano finish items if they don't have a real wood veneer layer (just to clarify).Much better!!

True for some, but not all, piano black parts in the car. If you get the full piano black interior option (as in the V8VS) there are pieces such as the door pulls and lower center console which are not made of wood. Regardless, they are still indistinguishable from their wood counterparts. Wish this could be done to the older interior cars, but painting the center stack would obscure the background illumination. I did have my waterfall facia sprayed in high gloss black with clear coat and it looks just as good as the real wood version.
