Jacking Points

Had a attempt at jacking the car up but bottled it in the end.
Can't really find a decent area to jack.
The long chassis rail looked a good bet but im sure there is a small dent after having a trial.
Tried the flat area at the side but that started to bend a bit.
So fearing the worst i gave up
Maybe if i use a larger spreader plate thats the way to go.
All i want to do is wax the inner part of the wheels.

At front and back there are small cut out areas in the sills, this is the place to jack the car from. However, they are small to say the least, I made a wood block to fit this area and then placed jack on that.

I did a search this morning and PH not as good as normal you can't narrow down your search like you use to. Google wasn't any help too.

I did exactly this last weekend. Used the small jacking points on the sills and an ice hockey puck between the jack and the sills. No drama and no damage :0)

Just took a look under my car (V12V) to see if I could locate the jacking points. Are they the very small cut out areas in the sills? I made some wood blocks using the dimensions mentioned in the above-referenced thread, but I don't think they'll fit within these small cut out areas. I'm thinking that I will buy some hockey pucks (which are much smaller) instead to keep in the car for emergency purposes. In addition, I'm considering putting a daub of florescent paint on each jacking point to ensure that the tech will know exactly where the correct jacking points are.
