Another reason for owning an Aston
Discussion
A couple of months ago, whist driving in Belgium I had the Air Bag Service Urgent warning light come on. as luck would have it the only Aston dealers for miles is 2 mins from my office. I gave them a call and they said pop round straight away. I was made very welcome and within 10 mins they had read the fault codes - seat wiring faullt. cleared the code and as it did not reappear said to keep an eye on it. No charge and great service
Last week the fault re appeared, I took it to Lancaster AM in Reading, Robert the service manager was very helpful and explained that in the ensuing period the warranty had expired, I told him that this was a repeat problem and he checked on the system but there was no record of the original problem. a quick call to the dealer in Belgium got an email explaining the situation and AM and the Warranty Company paid for all the work.
No hassle, no fuss, no keeping the car till payment was sorted just quiet, efficient, understated quality service.
Thanks to AM Brussels, and AM Reading

My reply has nothing to do with customer service and everything to do with a reason for owning an Aston.
I decided to park up today by a local coffee bar and pop in for a nice large vanilla latte and warm my thoughts and take my mind off the problems I'm having right now, and in this crappy weather what could be better. Sat by the window , as they are the only chairs big enough for me, I couldn't help but stare at my beautiful DB9, it looked amazing sat there, even the weather couldn't hide the cleaning I gave it a few days ago, the water beading off nicely and still very shiny. Before long it had a few admirers, stopping and looking, taking the odd pic, a few local schoolies having photos by it even in the rain, I found it amusing watching them as I as a lad did exactly the same, but the feeling that consumed me the most was pride, you can't beat that feeling, you look at the Aston sat there and sometimes you just have to pinch youirself to make sure that you are not dreaming and that you do actually own that fantastic car, how lucky am I, how lucky are we, regardless of what Aston you own, to have these as part of our lives. After drinking my coffee and getting into my car, starting her up , I decided it was time to drive, hear her throaty tones, smell the leather and let all my worries float away as I twist and turn down the Cheshire lanes.

Sorry to chunner on, I just thought it was a nice experience worth sharing which brightened up a rather dreary day.
+ 1 on that thought.... Whenever I get a bit stressed or need a bit of solitary time, jump straight in the Aston go for a nice long burn..
Guaranteed to feel 100% better by the time I get back.

.....I'm looking forward to getting back in mine after all these blood house viewings out the way
Good move not going in the Aston matey !!
People have attempted to charge me a lot more when they see the car

Slumming it in the Volvo replacement

Plus I cannot afford the number of front splitters we would have gone through with the place Mrs K is finding

Glad you enjoyed it even in the rain (which has been shooking up here the last couple of days)
Same up here. The house is constantly leaking in
And worst of all - I took the cover off before during a brief moment of the rain stopping to get something from the car, during which time the rain started again, so now I can't put the cover back on
It better not leak again!George H said:
