Just fitted new we heels to my vantage proper Aston wheels but without tpms,I have tried disconnecting the module under the glove box but it still comes up with system fault, have plugged it back in and the message reads check tyres and the orange light flashes and stays on constantly can anyone help, what if I take the valves out of the old wheels and just put them in the boot would this work?

How would they detect pressure in the bootsmile...

The system would still see 0psi and therefore call up a fault....

I'd say the best solution would be to find the appropriate fuse and pull it, or maybe a plug from the TPi and disconnect at source..

Check out this thread at 6speedonline, which talks about the TPMS used by Aston. Unfortunately, without sensors the idiot light in the instrument cluster is going to stay on. AFAIK, there is no fuse dedicated only to the TPMS, so pulling a fuse is not a viable option.

I'm working on a simple solution to extinguish the dash light...stay tuned.

Also, there is a fuse for the TPMS module, but pulling that is no different than disconnecting the plug at the module, since that same plug carries power to the unit.

A great many customers are requesting replacement sensors from us and I'm struggling to determine which are the correct replacement sensors for them. Huf sent a catalogue update this morning that shows:
DB9 07.12- Huf RDE011
DBS 09.07-2012 Huf RDE011
Rapide 02.13- Huf RDE011
Vanquish 10.12- Huf RDE011
Vantage 06.13- Huf RDE011
But nothing about earlier models that use the Smartire system. Has anyone replaced a Smartire sensor with something made by Beru/Huf and if so, what's the part number on their invoice?
