DB9 Linn radio

Reception is terrible, is this normal or have i missed something

I am very impressed by the quality of the FM reception in my 05 DB9 with Linn 260W Audio. However the speakers did go silent 15 minutes into a journey on Saturday. I parked the car in the garage and locked it with the remote fob. One hour later the speakers worked normally.

Jon - I believe it is a known issue with early DB9s (before 05). What year is yours? Enjoying it more or less than the 550?

its an 06.

anything is better than that 550 after all the hassle i had with certain people.

very surprised by the db9. nice car. prefer the murci though. hopefully have that back soon.

also had someone tell me that the brake lights where stuck on this morning, whilst the car was locked

Have the 950 in my 05 and it's complete ste! Worst stereo I've had since I owned a Citreon BX many years ago! People tell me they got better and were actually producing an acceptable quality of sound post 2006....

I have the 260 watt system, the am radio doesn't work, and the sound quality is crap especially the Bass. My Merc's sound system is much better.

I have a similar issue on my 2006 Vantage. The sound quality is good...but only when there's a strong signal. I was pondering fitting an aerial booster (I spotted the aerial plug in next to the battery) but I have no idea if they actually do anything. Something like:
