DB9 help and advice about parts.

Firstly hope those at Hever Castle had a wonderful day.Would of loved to attend but had to make an appearance in Ireland so ended up getting sunburnt and sweaty yesterday.Who said it always rains in Ireland!!!
The problem I have is that the 5 inch spring that attaches to the Piston that lifts the roof on the passengers side has stretched.This makes the inner headlining on the rear quarter slightly loose when compared to the drivers side.(hope I am making sense)
I have spoken to my Aston Martin guys who have said that the spring is not sold on its own and has to come with the Piston that raises and lowers the roof. This Piston is around £400 which seems a tad expensive when all you want is the 20p spring.
They have offered to swop the spring over when a part ex Volante comes in as they are bloody nice blokes but I cannot really rely on that.
They are trying to sort something out from Aston themselves but I thought that if I posted this someone normally comes out with a brilliant idea, or has the part hidden away in a garage somewhere.

ps Francis (Can`t call him Paddy as he is nothing like an Irishman) cars still looking like new and I have bought some of the 303 fabric guard...top stuff.
