Who's going and what are you going in? DB9 is of course very appropriate for LM24 (having won it 
), but less so for the Classic - felt a bit odd in my DB7 last time!
So this years chariot was collect today after a yetification... High lift cams, full manifolds and exhaust, the 2 x twin-choke Dellortos rebuilt and K&N filters. Uprated brakes, lowered and stiffened shocks and springs, and those lurvely 15" teledial alloys with Toyo R888 tyres Full retrim in magnolia leather, repainted the bits that needed doing and then machine polished to looks better than new. It is, of course, the best S2 Spider out there

From my door to Portmouth, ferry to Caen, Le Mans, hooning, back the way i came... 452 miles all in. It isn't far at all if you let the boat get you into the middle bit When I get back I will post a thread for a possible Le Touquet run. If we get a handful of cars it'll be worth it. I'm with you mon ami bleu, any excuse!
Are the Toyo 888s not a bit extreme for it though?
CLM would be worth the journey from the US Stuart!! Sure it could be a 'business expense'
Mind you, the events in the US, the almost guaranteed weather... Would love to do a season of events over there!
One of our tour group is a USAF Colonel and occasional American Airlines pilot, all he does if flit back and forth (for free) attending car events here and across the US. Quite a lifestyle

Maybe... It's a dry-weather only lightweight car that will only a few thousand miles a year. They're probably ideal actually! The garage sought advice, I'd been recommended Michelins but we gave these a try (at cost price, so why not). They'll be doing track laps of the full Le Mans circuit Saturday morning!

So far it has done Goodwood duties last year and the odd short drive for the fun of it; this is its first big test hence the work on it. To call it mint is an understatment, I would put it into a concours it's so clean. If it passes the test, i.e. we enjoy the trip, it gets kept. If not, it goes into the aluminium bodied XKSS slush fund
