Vantage roadster fuel filler flap

Hi all

I am having a fairly regular problem when I try to fill up. I press the filler flap release...and nothing happens. I then have to continue to press the button for some time and eventually it does release, but this can take up to 5 mins which is far from ideal. Does anyone else have any experience of this and what can be done to sort it out? The car is a 2009 model.

not an uncommon problem - minor tweak needed at dealer

Ditto, but the WD40 made a mess of the dashboard after spraying the button........

I gave up on my button some time ago and so now just resort to opening the boot every time and using the backup manual release. Saves wasting time with a temperamental button.

Me too theres a pulley under the carpet in the boot fairly close to the filler cap... A couple of squirts of magical lube and a couple of tugs on the pulley and hey presto!!!! all ok now.

Was a bit embarrising at the fuel pump, few people looking at the car and me struggling to open and then close the flap...

You just cant beat a hand made car!! LOL....
