Hi,

I am the proud owner of a DB7 Vantage but sadly don't get the opportunity to drive it as regularly as I would like. As a result I have regular battery problems and need to trickle charge the battery as often as possible which involves running a cable across the pavement as the car is kept at the roadside.

To solve this I was considering the Aston Martin branded solar charger however the price appears to be far in excess of similar chargers on the market. Does anyone know if there is anything special about the AM charger? Or could someone recommend a suitable alternative? Unfortunately I have been unable to find out the power output, safety features etc on the AM branded option.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Cheers,

Martin

For £15 you could give this one a try:

In fact, think I'll try it myself!

Aston Martin are charging 150 + VAT. Quite a big difference.

When I go on vacation often leave RR at airport for weeks on end and always dread coming back to find battery dead as once happened when left in garage for a month. Bought it ready for next trip.
