Bentley having dropped their V12 shows current thinking of a well funded car manufacturer and arguably the only reason AM haven't gone this route is due to the costs of development. Then again the factories view is the current platform still has some potential.

With 40mph being muted for country roads the future doesn't look great for driving enthusiasts. At that point we will be all driving around in electric milk floats anyway.


No doubt here will be a mass migration to the Isle of Man of ageing automotive excellence and drivers seeking a persecution free existence.

Bentley haven't dropped their W12 engine (I don't think they use a V12 do they?). They made a V8 Conti GT as a lower model to the W12, but it is still for sale.
