Couple of quick questions.

HI guys, sorry for a couple of newbie questions. I have searched but no joy.

First the stereo. I parked up last night. All fine, stereo blaating.

This morning I set off, enjoyed the engine tone then thought that it was time for some music.

It looks like the stereo is on but no sound comes out. When I change to sat nav- no sound. When I put on CD it says that the CD is paused and it has disabled changing between tracks.

I don't have a SIM in and haven't turned on the phone. If I touch the phone button nothing happens.

Any idea as to how I can get the music back.

Also any idea where to buy the upgrade sat nav disk so I can get full postcode search? ebay seems not to have them. Nearest I can find are these-

But they look to have the wrong part number...

Has your car got bluetooth, and is bluetooth enabled on your phone? When paring it will cut out the stereo / pause CD's. Even if you have not asked it to pair, it could be it is searching / trying to connect.

No bluetooth. I suspect it is the phone unit which is turned on but I have no idea how to turn it off.

I've had this when the CD goes into pause for no tangible reason. The bad news is.... I can't recall how to recover from it.
On a positive note it's not terminally broken, you just need to press every button you can think of to try and get it working again!

You should get the sound back after you shut down the car, leave it for a while then restart the it. My (FM Radio) sound cut out as I pulled out of a carpark a couple of weeks ago - no radio, CD or Satnav voice. After 1 hour parked in my garage it came back again.

Seven figure post codes and better lane guidance graphics came in with the Volvo 2010 update discs. The 2012 discs have just come out. FRV Motors (Volvo) Swansea will discount the 2012 discs from £190.12 down to £150 inc p&p if you talk to them nicely!

OK I have sorted out the radio issue, I think that the amp froze. I pressed the battery cut off switch in the boot and then the batery on button under the drivers side rear seat, this sorted it out.
