After Tina and her team at JCT600 in Leeds sorted out any paint bubbles in March as my Original Warranty expired, this starts to happen.

Four months later and a quote of £330 for 1 Unit...plus vat....plus 1.5 hours of labour....not much change out of £600 !!!

Tina asks AM the obvious question on my behalf.......AM give the obvious answer......All will be fixed foc as a gesture of goodwill cloud9

Will collect from my house Monday AM - return to my house Wednesday.

You just can't beat that kind of service from JCT smile

Excellent service and great that AM have agreed to pick up the bill...
But not impressed with that level of corrosion on such an expensive car!!!

In fact I wouldn't be impressed with that on a Ford Focus!
(Not that I've seen it on a Focus!)

After hearing some scare stories I was a bit relieved with the speed of the answer (5 hours).

I did have a Plan B and a Plan C in place - just in case - but this does ram home to me the importance of a relationship with a Dealer you can trust when these issues arise, as they invariably do.

JCT have never abused this position and I know some of you have followed me on the road to Leeds smile

Thats just happened on mine - 07 V8V - Leeds are my local dealer and they have been very good in the past with service but as I didn't buy the car from them (Stratstones) then I'm not sure if I'll get the same goodwill - particularly as mine is a bit older than Jockmans - still worth a try though - particularly as it needs new discs so that'll be circa £1,500 I expect.

Ripley, I bought mine from Stratstone Wilmslow but I have Max at JCT in the loop for future upgrades.

Based on what I've read on the forum I thought I would get a 'contribution'....perhaps this could be your route ??

Neil - what's Boy George H got to do with this wink

I know it's being done under warranty......but just saying its a £200-300 job......I use a company called Lloyds autobody who undertake Stratstone's paint work ......they have a paint shop in Manchester and Liverpool

Great outcome Phil, very good of AM to fix it for nothing. Did they also wash it free of charge as per your usual sendings back? I wouldn't be surprised if you ripped the paint off just to get it washed for free biggrin

However, if you or Neil compare me to Boy George again there will be hell to pay! wink

Mr G we are talking at cross purposes here - you are advising on a repair job which tbh can be done yourself for £50 if you use the excellent paint recommended by Lunablack.

I am talking about an entire new part which is the recommended course of action by the Dealer smile

laugh
I suspect Phils new washing regime may have contributed wink
At least this way he will be back to "warranty washes"

Mine is in there (still smile ) having a new light weight seat cover fitted. They were not happy with the fit so rejected it. Frustrating but I would rather they did that than turn a blind eye and let me waste a 3 hour journey to collect it.
I will be giving them my service work.
