Stratstone Derby

Promised Mhairi a day out today so took her with me to get the car serviced (very mad or very brave)!; and you know what she had a great day. Driver dropped us off in Derby for quick shop, then we went to Darleys for lunch (highly recommended) then Stratstone came and picked us up. Sal and the team at Stratstone were excellent; without it being mentioned, they spotted the wiper housing was rusty and replaced it with one they had taken off another car and had refurbed foc - only a little thing but probably the reason I am making this post - having said that there are cheaper ways to have a day out!

Great service Andrew - ask them to go over it with a fine tooth comb whilst under warranty and any Dealer should oblige really.

Not in warranty but they spotted it and did it all the same foc.

It was fairly painful but one shop had a tv positioned outside the changing rooms showing the Olympic rowing

Darleys has changed since I last went there

I was there on Thursday for a service on my Roadster and I have to say the service from Sal and his team was excellent. Great on price and both Sal and the tech Andy enthusiasts on the Aston models.

(It's a shame the more local Aston dealer to me in Birmingham didn't seem interested in my custom - their loss )

Neil, l'm glad its not just me then, that has experienced the 'joys' of our local dealership then!
If my car wasn't still under warranty it would go to BR. At least Derby is not that far.

Sadly max there is only one chap at Hagley that I have a lot of time for as he really knows his stuff - shame the same could not be said for the rest. I have found Derby generally very good, but BR are certainly getting a growing reputation!

Jockman, not so intriguing, this dealer Stratstone Derby aims to please and has 3 happy respondants. The other dealer who Nick is referring to only seems to help people who have more than 8 cylinders
