California sage green. It's one of those colours that you would immediately dismiss if choosing from new, but the previous owner was a little brave and probably (inadvertently) ended up picking the perfect Colour IMO. Harks back to a very similar Colour that I've seen on DB5's etc. Funny, just can't imagine this Colour working on any other make of car on the road.

Yes, she comes to my house to play a marble piano to keep the Aston company while I'm away. It's on the options list

Beautiful. I almost bought a California Sage DB5 for £5000 back in 1981, but chickened out. KLK 7. It is now in a museum in Germany.

Ha, there is a famous Marcos racing car, the XP which is Aston california Sage, http://www.clubmarcos.net/ImagePages/Rally2009/XP0...

Also a few early road Marcos GT cars. And my pal George had his MGB Roadtser V8 painted in it as well.

It is the most beautiful period colour, you may be right that it would not work on any other modern car. Maybe a Jaguar, but that's it.

Sage was my first choice but I found a Chiltern Green car (a DB7 colour) and love it. I think, from your picture that it suits the Vantage more than the DB9, yours look fabulous

This is one of my favourite Aston colours, others being Amethyst, from around 68-69 and Cornish Gold, which came out around 72, at the time of the change to single headlights. All subtle pale metallics, due a revival.

Congratulations, she is a real beauty don't forget fuse 22 and the parcel shelf taken out and neatly folded on the floor of the boot for the journey home, that will give you the full fat V8 experience!

Number plinth has been removed. What a lump, definitely improved the power to weight ratio!!!!

Good to meet you all and thanks for the warm welcome. Is it natural to plan all journeys via tunnels? Talking of tunnels, does anyone remember The Tunnel Run? Seem to recall that being something organized on PH forum a few years back.
