Bamford Rose Website issues

Hi, attempted to get on the Bamford Rose website to book my car in for a service and have been met by lots of warning of malware and the following message when googling it.

What happened when Google visited this site?
Of the 6 pages we tested on the site over the past 90 days, 2 page(s) resulted in malicious software being downloaded and installed without user consent. The last time Google visited this site was on 2012-08-19, and the last time suspicious content was found on this site was on 2012-08-19.
This site was hosted on 1 network(s) including AS31727 (NODE4).


Trying to offer them a heads up, but also can anyone confirm I have the correct url www.bamfordrose.com and if the site is in fact OK.

I get a Malware detect error when clicking on the link and being at work I'm a little cautious to ignore and continue. You say he is aware, is this a false report or is there something on his website that means I should avoid it in the interim?

It's not false - they have had several attacks from the same dhead
It was OK on Friday
It is down again today

Sounds like it needs some performance / go faster upgrades for it.
I can make it better than the original - only £6000.00!

Probably best to avoid the site until Mike confirms that its OK.

And its probably a good reminder to us all to make sure we have up-to-date antivirus software, and have done a recent full system scan

I remember Rick at DMS had similar-sounding problems.

He said it was a deliberately malicious attack by someone somehow using his workshop cameras to access his site/code/software, er things.

Do they ever read their own forum? I posted a question weeks ago - and still not answered! I did phone and left a message on their answer machine - still no response, so must assume they're full of gremlims!!

Seems to work if you go via an alternative search engine, such as Yahoo for example.

But, the problem isn't with Google, Google is providing a warning that there is a problem with the site.

If you get to the site directly or via another search engine, then you've managed to get to a site with a problem, which puts you at risk.

This is basic net sense, visiting an infected site is dangerous. If you've been to a site you're not sure about, then update your antivirus software and run a full system scan straight away.

Safety is an illusion. Whatever you do, don’t lull yourself with the notion that somehow an iPad is "safe." It is not. Case in point: posts on hacker sites are talking about Weyland-Yutani Bot, a Zeus-like malware injection kit, with an iPad-specific version supposedly about to go on sale to cyber creeps (for amounts in the vicinity of $1,000 U.S.). With so many tens of millions of iPads out there, the plain fact is that the target it tempting -- and it will only get more tempting.

The risk is different with an iPad, but they did suffer from a Java virus a couple of months ago, and Apple was very, very tardy in coming forwards with a fix. They aren't geared up to counter threats from that direction, which doesn't make me feel comfortable.

I'm using an iPad now, but wouldn't risk going to an infected site, there are some very creative people out there trying to invent new ways to take advantage of people, and the first to get caught will be the people that trusted their technology too much.

Judging by previous postings Neil there at least 2 members who swear by the security integrity of the iPads
