Apologies for my ignorance etc. but this is not my usual part of the forum!
I love the green coloured DBS, but have never seen one for sale. I have only ever seen images on google. Do many exist? Was it an original colour available from new? Do any of you know of anywhere else there may be one up for sale (other than the obvious) etc?

Thanks in advance.

The AM press car was Green smile

DB9Volantedriver, despite his name, has a green DBS but he's in the US of Americans.

Otherwise there is a bit of a lack of them frown

That's a shame. It's my favourite colour. What about the red? Are there only a handful of those too?

Yeah, doesn't look quite right. Plus that must be a custom paint job. And the interior... well, let's just say it isn't subtle!

That's a standard Aston colour.

Was it standard on the DBS though? The DBS green is a different shade to that in all the pictures.

For a 175K UKP car, Aston is/was very accommodating at painting your DBS any new/old Aston colour, or any other non-Aston colour. The DBS green you are referring to was never a 'DBS' specific green; just one of a myriad of Aston shades of green available.

I see. So is it just by coincidence then that most DBSes are black, quantum or silver? It just seems odd that hardly any were sold in any other colour than those if they offered so many. Do you know if many/any were sold in the colour I was initially referring to perchance?

Of course there were several colours marketed as 'DBS' specific like Lightning Silver, Quantum Silver and Casino Royale. And of course many, many were ordered in those colours by dealers as stock. As mentioned here, you'll see very few non-black, non-grey, non-silver cars out and about.

The only hope of finding a green one (or for that matter any other non 'standard' colour) is to find one that was factory ordered by someone (even a dealer) who was unafraid to be 'different'.

It is my observation that you are more likely to find a non-typical colour in the USA than in GB, for example.

Here's a colour you don't see on a DBS very often (this very well could be the only one). But I think it is wonderful and I'd have it in an instant.

Looks like Ghillies Green with Kestrel tan leather?

Aston will and do paint cars any colour you ask for. There is a large pallet of colours but they are sadly underused. Everyone wants to play secret agent so they're mostly silver and grey frown

I was just thinking of that one. Mako blue is stunning, bet it looks brilliant in the flesh.

Another rare colour is this one in Rosso Corsa

Looks like just British Racing Green to me. Ghilles is darker than that. I think it's Kestrel Tan interior though smile

But then of course the problem is that the steering wheel would be on the wrong side! There seems something wrong with having a LHD Aston Martin in Britain! But that colour is certainly quite unusual, albeit extremely pretty. I still maintain that I want the Aston press car green though. The dark red may even be a close second.
