Any experiences anyone? They have a nice Vantage there only downers are 2 months too late for low tax (not a huge issue for me but would be nice...), no powerfold mirrors, described as red callipers but pictured grey & Larini spelt wrong... not the best start for a specialist. Just had a shocking experience trying to buy an R8 from another dealer, if this goes on much longer I might have to consider a franchised dealership!

Unlike some other brands a lot of the franchise dealerships are actually really good. A couple not so, but I bought from one around London and they were fantastic. You pay a bit more, but when things go wrong on these cars the bills can be horrendous, and the warranty is worth having IMHO.

I'm sure the dealers are good... but it's hard to find the right car at the right price when you're fussy on spec. Official astons seem to cost at least 5k more. Going to see a roadster tomorrow, wish me luck!

Alan Baker of ASK used to be at AM Park Lane - he was there for a long time. I bought my first DB9 from him. Top chap and very straight when I dealt with him. He runs (or used to run) a late 80's V8 that is immaculate. I think he knows the marque inside out and backwards.

Desmond Smail, I've heard some mixed reports on (both good and bad). Probably more good than bad. However I've never had any dealings with him so I have no firm view either way.

Re Desmond Smail,I found them up themselves , when I tried to px my Virage for one of their cars I was offered a derisory amount ,far less than other dealers.

Bought my 2008 4.7 Vantage (2009 model so one of the first 4.7s), from them almost 4 years ago and dealt with Alan Baker who was a straight up guy. A couple of minor niggles when I got the car, they said bring it back and sorted them. Still on the same clutch which was one of my concerns when buying. So, from my experience they were good to deal with.
