Bamford Rose, what to do while car being serviced?

Hi, my car is booked into Bamford Rose on Thursday for its service, MOT and a few other tweaks. To ensure it's done the same day I have a 3.5 hour drive to arrive there for 7.30AM! Fortunately my Girlfriend is accompanying me. The question is what to do for the day whilst the car is being done. Can anyone recommend any places in the local vicinity to visit or stuff to do?

Crazy considering I live 40 miles from 2 Aston dealerships and neither would fit the V12V steering wheel to my 55MY DB9 (not specced for your car sir) and wasn't even going to ask them about the later model power fold mirrors....

Still, feeling like I am going to the best place to have it all done.

On of them can give you a lift into the local town, but they're in the middle of nowhere so you can't walk.

There's a decent pub half a mile away, bring a book and an appetite and the hours should pass nicely

Editedto add, i usually stand around and try and learn something, but that's probably quite aggravating. Their office is comfy enough anyway...

I would normally do the whole stand around thing but not really fair on the GF, I guess exactly what is done depends on the weather, not so nice walking about if it's chucking it down. Anyone have any indicators as to how big/small the local town is? Is it a post office, boots and a tea room kind of place. Thinking there could be 5,6,7 maybe more hours to fill....

Just out of curiosity why do you want the V12V steering wheel on your DB9 . They are very similar aren't they?

Well I wanted cruise control and it wasn't on my car when I purchased it, the first wheel that became available happened to be a brand new V12V wheel and bought it about 100 months ago. I'm also hoping that the audio controls on the other side will have some functionality on my denison installed car even if it's just on volumne and track skip on the cd player.

What he said, it's a nice town with some nice shops and a nice coffee shop or 2. Also a dangerous watch shop, pre-loved Breitlings, Rolex and Tag...

My suggestion is that you book a hotel and spend the day having sex ........then after you pay the bill at BR you can both say you've been shagged . Only kidding boys at BR

My car Is due for its 7 year service so would be interested to hear how you got on

I recently had my car serviced at Bamford Rose and spent the day in Stratford. Got dropped off and picked up by the guys, very pleased with the service and the trip out

I picked up my DB9 on Wednesday night from BR after it's 7 year service. Feels like a different car - the gearbox is far more 'tight' so they must have done some adjustments down there. I've got a list of items to take to Aston Martin for warranty work. Outstanding service, dropped in Stratford and picked up from Banbury station. Fitted my new model wing mirrors (they had some minor fitment issues too) for no extra charge on top of the service cost - perfect!

I ended up leaving my car with them for 1.5 weeks.

Get the BR boys to drop you off in Moreton-in-Marsh, 8.5 mies away. Have a wander round - it's quite quaint & Cotswoldy and book in for an early lunch at:

where Lisa (GT junior) and Simon (her fiancé & the hotel manager) will look after you and enthuse about Aston Martins and BR (or leave you in peace if you prefer!) until the Bamford boys return to pick you up . Get dropped off in Stratford and have a wander around. Loads of places to eat etc. trouble with the Cotswolds villages like Moreton, they all look the same and you'd get bored pretty quickly.
