Well, I finally returned to the trial of trying to remove my CD player and with many thanks to bobcanada for his reassurance it could be done I have succeeded

It makes a funny rattling noise when you shake it though?

It was either the time I gave David Blaine a lift or it's been in there since it was built?

Probably a factory joke similiar to a friend of mine who used to work at Longbridge and he tells me they used to put marballs in the fuel tank to make a rattleing noise when nearly empty,

Judging by the class 1 laser sticker on it I wasn't sure if it would be a good idea to take it apart!
