Finally made it down to a dealers for a test drive!

Went down to AM Hagley yesterday (quite pleasant service down there i might add!) for a test drive of the 4.3 Vantage and a 4.7 Vantage with Sport Pack/Lightweight Seats.
Whilst the 4.7 "felt" quicker not sure if it is substantially better the 4.3. The 4.3 is still no slouch. Lightweight seats in the 4.7 were nice as you are held into position better. Regarding the sports pack, it felt slightly more taught but again not sure if it was substantially better than the 4.3 - pushed both around corners at high speed and both felt very planted
....will be buying one asap!

As 99.99% of Vantages are grey, you should have no problem. Make sure you >insist< on obsidian black leather too Gla you're getting to drive them, interested in your comments that the 4.7 doesn't feel hugely faster than the 4.3. Guess it's a choice of which interior style and seats you like

I didnt think the 4.7 with Sport Pack was groundbreakingly quicker, in fact i expected more from it but i suppose it's not an all new model. I do prefer the lightweight seats but it's not a major issue, the standard seats seem comfortable enough for my frame + the mrs will be happy it has heated seats as she's seems to be cold 365 days of the year

Honestly, never underestimate the value of hving the other half 'onboard' for the purchase. The 911 and DB9 both have heated seats and chucking in the odd 'I got this car as I know you get cold' comment works wonders.She hates the Lotus

The sport back does not improve the power or torque. I'm quite surprised that you didn't notice quite a difference (in both power and handling) between a 4.3 and a sport pack equipped 4.7
I found it was pretty appreciable.

Haha. When I went to Wilmslow with the Mrs, I made a point of getting her into the passenger seat and then running around to her side so that I could watch her get out. As she climbed out I said, "this car really suits you, you look like a princess getting out of it". She shrugged off the comment, but I know that the picture I created in her minds eye is still in there somewhere. Sell the vision and they'll buy the product.She hates the Lotus
