Elbow up or Down?

A bit of silliness I know but how many of you drive with your elbow sticking out of the open window? I sometimes take it to the extreme and stroke the A pillar as well. Molly says that it makes me look like an arrogant tw- t. My retort is that I am proud and that I am able to instantly return a wave . I think the worst is when people have their elbow out whilst their hand is supporting their chin. This is usually reserved for M3 pilots.

the very few times ive had this year to drive my pj its been p-----g down so window shut..
but when it does shine i find the ledge to high so arm rest bit for me.
hopefully this w/e i might get out for a spin

I have tried the elbow out of window which is simples in a RR, but if I have seat up high enough for same on V12V then I find I struggle to see traffic lights and bang head if I look out of side window - uncool. Would be easier if I had very short legs and thus I would be nearer to the dash. As is at the moment the elbow is simply too high and its not a cool look. Guess this needs some practice but putting face nearly on dash to see lights is not cool either. Of course I could always stop 20 yards short of the lights to improve the angle out the window but again; not cool.

9.15. I will occasionally rest my elbow on the windowsill at traffic lights with my hand on my head.

Right elbow on doorpull and right hand holding wheel, left elbow on tunnel with left hand ready to change gear in my manly manual...

Think I'll take the car to work tomorrow morning... And I think I'll take the long way round too

Just put the V8S back in its box and there's no chance of me making a fool of myself by sticking my elbow out the window - I had to check and found that it would be above the height of my shoulder! Then again, you see those guys on choppers with 'ape-hanger' handlebars - and obviously they look cool so maybe it would be ok (snigger)!

I've only had my Vantage for a couple of months and have already promised everyone i know that I'll leave it stock......I can feel myself buckling though: it's surely just a matter of time. Oh go on then, tell me some more...............????

How do you work that out Rob??? Arms on door pulls and hands at "10 to 2" position doesn't equate to elbow up and "playing" with the A pillar

Are you a driving instructor or something LBS? I didn't realise anyone actually did that

Hands at quarter to 3 if using the paddles, usually one hand on the LH side if driving in auto. No elbow on top of the door, it's a bit too high. The door pull is at perfect height though
