Collecting V8 S tomorrow

I have been looking forward to tomorrow for a couple of days now.... a 120 mile driver down to Exeter in our MV09 Vantage, sportshift and a return journey in a new V8 S. I only popped into Grange, during a short weekday break to look at a secondhand V8 S, I quite fancied. We were only in Devon because we should have been in France but Brittany Ferries went on strike, the outcome of unforeseen consequences - a french matlow goes on strike in St Malo, I buy a new Aston....

The spec is briefly Tungsten Silver, black interior with grey headlining (same as the current car except it is meteorite silver) High Spec alarm, Premium Audio, heated and memory seats, front parking sensors, carbon side strake, Piano black veneer, 10 spoke Graphite DT wheels.

I just can't wait to hear that noise! Picture to follow.

They do sound very nice too.... I followed Mikey in his, and its a lot louder than my lowly 4.3..... Plus it bangs and pops on the over run

Yes, Lloyd was the man - I went to see an onyx black one first, but that wasn't in stock as he had hoped, so then Lloyd tried to sell me a lightening silver one first, he then came up with a Tungsten Silver one. I was impressed because he listened to what I wanted and followed-up. The onyx black one then did appear on the stock list but I haven't seen it - I do keep wondering if I should have have gone for the onyx black but one of my best friends has one and I just felt that two onyx black V8 Vantage S's together might be a bit strange. Anyhow we might have got confused when we come out of the pub!

Great choice, the V8VS makes a phenomenal sound that you will never tire from hearing, new gearbox isn't too shabby either.

Had a great day today - a bit of mist on the A303 this morning but then the sun broke through! Sorry to see the V8 Vantage go - great fun and learned a lot, hopefully the new owner will have as much fun in her as we have. The V8 S is great, the Sport button and the noise, especially changing down! We had a run down to Budleigh for a quick lunch then back home an invigorating 140 miles on the first day.
