first review of new DB9

pretty positive - with the new torque numbers, ceramic brakes and adaptive suspension, it really does look the more compelling buy in some ways than new vanquish which has similar torque and 10% more power

yes the vanquish looks much newer and of course has the newer, much more customisable interior but for 50% more money, there's no question which is the better value

I saw one of these in Stratstone Derby the other day. The styling changes are quite subtle but it looks more "modern" somehow than a DB9 or DBS and it really does look beautiful in the flesh.

Saw one when I went to pick my Vantage up. Looks stunning, subtle but stylish changes. Dealer said it probably drives better than a DBS!

It should do, it's 5 years newer. I heard its not as aggressive as a DBS.

I love it, but no manual gearbox means no purchase for me. For a flappy paddle, my next car will be a McLaren.

My point being that, if I'm going to go for a flappy paddle car, it will be a true sportscar like the Mac and not a GT like the DB9. I'd still keep the Vantage and the Esprit, though.

engine has vanquish mods - much more torque

if you actually look at the figures...it is slower than the current model...as the vanquish is slower than the DBS....so not much to boast about there....

well top speeds of auto cars are simply limited to 183 - its only cos DBS had a manual option that there was a 190 quoted

vanquish is quoted to 60 at 4.1 seconds, DBS at 4.3. Whatever the figures on paper, I suspect in the real world new DB9 is as fast as DBS and probably not that far behind vanquish - in fact probably too close for the marketing men so DB9 figures are probably conservative and new vanquish aggressive

Having said all that TOny, I'm not quite sure whether you are being serious or not :-)
