Are you moving to Dubai? Or just going all 'gangnam style' on us?
Was going to start a thread on why people do this, can think of no logical reason. On a people carrier - OK, it protects the kids, but in all other circumstances it makes no sense. And just looks so awful

Seems like my original post must have been a little ambiguous.....or tricky to understand
Just to emphasise it again I was canvasing opinion from those that have had it done...(if anyone)
The give away was in the questions....
Ie..... Anyone had it done?? Any photos..??
TBH the general view of window tinting from folk that HAVEN'T had it done is of little interest...

I have no problem with people doing things to their car solely for aesthetic reasons, such as going for larger wheels when it actually tends to decrease handling & comfort, or non-aero benefit spoilers & such like, so if people won't gain any practical benefit from tinting, that's their choice
But I can't see the aesthetic benefits of tinting the windows on a coupe, so with neither practical nor aesthetic improvement, I just don't get it
On any coupe, to tint the rear window and the small rear windows gives little or no practical benefit and looks odd because more glass on the car is clear than is tinted
Tinting front windows lightly, to avoid hassle with PC Plod, adds little if anything as by definition, to keep within the law, it's barely noticable. I also think it will attract un-necessary attention from the police and on a marginal driving offence, could be the difference between being pulled over or not
Just my two penneth of course - each to their own, it's what makes the world interesting. Maybe I'm getting old........
