I think it really is, I know demand is low but wish it had a manual box, even if a £10k option via Works Service or something! Putting the 310quish up so much higher in price will hopefully be a masterstroke too, you really know whether you're buying the mid-level GT or the top of the range, the DBS never had enough 'clear air' over the DB9 to justify its cost.
I think the DB9.2 is the better looking car though

No it isn't, some styling similarities but reworked and stiffend chassis, more powerful engine (517 bhp as opposed to Virage 497) set lower down (lower centre of gravity), new adaptive suspension system, etc, and £10k cheaper.Edited by 897sma on Friday 19th October 14:01
I like how Dr.Bez nicely dodges the fact that Aston cannot, nor has the means to mass produce a 700bhp car full of driver aids.. ;-)
I like the DB9.2 though, clean lines and a smaller grille, a slight tip of the hat back to a DB7V shape grille there I think.
Also the cunning use of a black front splitter to make the front look smaller.
