Talking about a model, yes. But talk of "the company's" is badly written. I presume Corgi.

In the mid 1960's when I was a kid, my Dad owned two large model and toy shops in Manchester.

I can still remember people queuing right round the block to buy these Bond Astons when they first came out, it was like a mini Harrods sale with customers fighting for them.

Remember, only a few years before Dinky cars didn't even have windows........

What a crap pice of writing. While Bond did have a Bentley in Casino Royale that wasn't the book where he was provided with hisAston Martin, that of course, was Goldfinger and in the book Fleming wrote in the Aston DB MkIII. Nothing to do with E-types or Ferraris. What the writer does is mix the books with the films and it seems Corgies with cars...

"so how did Bond end up in an Aston Martin" the journalist asks? Simple, Fleming wrote it! Or is that too obvious?
