You are asking for a value on a car, you don't even know what it is.

Personally I would touch it, a Vanquish with problems, could cost you a small fortune to put right.

If its been off the road for a few years and has gearbox problems then without an inspection - avoid!
Gearbox may be something as 'simple' as the early sensors being upgraded to the later version. But even thats a gearbox out job and must be done by a trained specialist.
Could need a complete new gearbox.
Is the front subframe corroding?

If you are not familiar with the Vanquish, its easy to spot an S as the front brake calipers are in front of tha axle. Non S ones are behind the axle.
Unless its a non S with the Sports Dynamic Pack upgrade!
First S was not available until 2005.

A vanquish is a beautiful car to drive when it is in good working order. If anything goes wrong on it however, especially to do with engine, gears, or bodywork you may need to befriend your bank manager for life to help you out.

2001 will be one of the first V12 Vanquish cars. I would be cautious of an early car without any issues; one with is a no-go. It may depend on what it is being offered for. I suspect a figure with more than three digits though, so I would walk. If someone is badging a 2001 car as a Vanquish S, I would also run.

Visible difference between a V12 Vanquish and Vanquish S are different grille, wheels, front splitter, rear boot lid, different levels of corrosion, interior (plus brakes - bar SD option as mentioned above).

lol at you lot , it is infact a 2001 v12 not an "s" and yes its going to be bought for around £10k,showing 61k miles ,requires a clutch? and a few paint issues ,some under bonnet trims missing etc but the real deal all the same. ill post pics up shortly for your amusement

Even with a clutch required £10k is a steal.
