Could Cosworth be sued in AM cars?

Prodrive are looking at buying Cosworth, and if you read the story there is a connection to the V12 engines used by AM cars. Just guess work but as Prodrive and AM are connected and the Chair of AM owns Prodrive, not beyond the realms of possibility. Any more knowledgeable owners than me want to put their two pennorth in?

Damn - any mod can correct my serious typo in the title please - should be used rather than sued!

The relationship is already there in the 177 engine

The V12 of the DB7 Vantage and Vanquish was developed with Cosworth. Cosworth were also approached previously to develop the top end for the Virage; a job that ended up with Callaway.

ETA: The (supercharged) Vantage had Cosworth pistons too.

Cheers guys, my last awareness of Cosworth was in the escort and sapphire models from all those years ago. They still fetch a hefty price in the second hand market.
Didn't realise they were connected withAM until seeing that article.

Indeed, Cosworth have very strong links with AM on the V12 engine.

Very encouraging news as that would eliminate the need for Aston to have a 'technical partner' or 'new owner' as they are sometimes called. Maybe cosworth already have a modern, useable road V8 in the pipeline...
