V12V 3rd Service + other stuff

Well my V12V has now had its third service carried out by Stratstone Wilmslow. I cannot fault the level of care, service and friendliness by all Service team at Wilmslow, so come highly recommended.
I also took the chance of getting a few niggles sorted out under warranty which expires shortly. One of the "niggles" is photographed below.....see if you can guess what it is!! The driving experience is so much smoother now.
The TPMS recall couldn't be carried out as not all AM garages have the necessary software yet but that will be done at a later date.
I took the decision, at last, to have the front number plate plinth removed to improve the front end look and as you can see in the photos below makes the front end so so much 'cleaner'.
Other issues sorted included a squeaky drivers seat (lightweight not sports), a springy noise on the brake pedal, a slightly rusty wing bolt under the bonnet and replacement of the CF bonnet vents due to issues with the laquered finish.

Hi Phil, thanks! No, I've never had a squeaky brake issue with my V12V. Normally a good hard brake would do the trick say coming off a motorway slip road doing 190mph and leaving it to the last few yards to the junction, preferably with someone right behind you!!

Yes, I agree. I'm currently looking at getting some shorter plates with 3D carbon effect digits together with a blue border and AM badge in the middle/bottom. Managed to find suppliers who do these sort of plates but not all the above elements!

I got mine from this place..... Honeycomb with Standard motorcycle font with 10mm border, and a green line all the way around.... Seemed quite helpful.....Managed to find suppliers who do these sort of plates but not all the above elements!
Must remember to put the old one on at MOT time, got told off last time...

My DB9 is having its seven year service tomorrow at Stratstone Wilmslow.......they have always been totaly reliable and I know the service manager keeps a watchful eye on this forum .........so Keith you better do a damn fine job on my P&J tommorow .....I hope they lend me a Cygnet !
.....I hope they lend me a Cygnet ! Interesting to hear about your experiences re: clutch...I took my V12V in for it's 3 yr service and listed all the things I thought might be wrong and fixed under the original warranty, mainly little niggles which, considering the miles I've done were no issue.
One minor thing I did mention to the garage was something I only noticed on ultra-smooth Dutch roads and that was a whining type noise around 70-80 mph, but only in 6th gear...I was then surprised that the garage had investigated it (Thanks Jockman), got in touch with AM who had then agreed to supply a new gearbox and have it fitted FOC under warranty....at around a saving of £12k
I can't imagine its a common problem otherwise we would have heard about it, but just goes to show that its worth mentioning everything!!
