I've got a shiny new knob

Managed to find a used V12V/DBS gear knob on eBay for £250. Arrived today and it doesn't look like it has been used.

I was going to get BR to fit it when I am there the week after next but I couldn't wait so I plucked up the courage and did it myself. Turned out to be very easy.

It really does improve the feel of the gear change. Feels smoother and easier to select each gear. I thought I was imagining it but Adrian at BR agreed that the weighting of the knob does make for a nicer change.

So I'm a happy bunny today

Having owned a Noble, I've heard every "knob Gag" under the sun !

No one like a freezing cold knob in the winter. You will have to rub it quickly to get it to warm up!

The joy of the Sarah Maynard design... I have two tan coloured Pittards leather covers for them when it's cold out surprised Aston WS haven't jumped on this opportunity to make a cover. At Goodwood Revival they had lots of little iPhone pouches and other leather goodies, would be an easy job and let's face it, 99.999% of the cars are suicide black anyway.
