And indeed.............with a manual gearbox it would be really awesome!

I may be wrong, but I'm pretty sure that's a V8 Spyder. For what it's worth, in the UK the V10 Spyder is produced 50:50 in Manual and R-Tronic; although the used market even implies there are more Manuals available as the R-Tronics tend to get shipped straight to Asia etc.

Is it really a supercar though? That term seems to get thrown around far too loosely nowadays imo.... I wouldn't say an Audi is a supercar, in the same sense I wouldn't say a Nissan is. I wouldn't say Astons are supercars, and nor are Bentleys. I'd say the R8 V10 is a very fine sports car, but not a supercar. Oddly enough I'd say the Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder is though. Don't know why, the R8 is just missing that special something imo.

The difference in 'supercar' experience between my ex-V8 Vantage and R8 V10 is huge; although without a doubt the luxury of the interior is won hands down by the AM. The R8 just moves so stupidly quickly it boggles the mind and the impracticalities are there but worked around brilliantly well. Both are great cars and having now gone Audi, Aston, Audi, I expect my next one will be another Aston

Hopefully one with a proper amount of cylinders next time 
I wasn't saying it was a bad car in any respect btw, I just don't consider either the R8 V10 or V12V to be supercars personally

No not price, although it could be related. I was actually thinking exclusivity. I see quite a few 'lesser' V8 R8s around, I guess seeing a top spec model that doesn't look a right lot different probably explains why. Same with the V12V. George H said:
