I have a 59 plate v8 vantage sports shift, three years old this week, I bought the car earlier this year and I have covered approx 750 miles.
With the car coming up to three years, I called Stratstone Wilmslow for a price on a third year service, M.O.T and asked for a full warranty check,
I managed to negotiate some discount on the service,the m.o.t is fixed, they also said they would collect the car from my house, although only a few miles away.
The nice chap from Stratstones called this morning to say there were a few problems, at this point my heart was racing, thinking how much is this going to cost,
The car failed the mot on a front side light not working, which was working on the service, on service, a magnetic valve or something like that,on the gear box had a slight weep and there is a slight leak on a air conditioning pipe.

I was advised that the brake fluid had water content in it and had to be changed, I questioned this as the car has only done 8500 miles, he said it should be done every two years, I replied, it will have been done on last service,

Car not back for a few days, but up to now, I am very pleased with Stratstones.

Just an opinion on the above.
All brake fluid has a water content in it. It is hygroscopic and absorbs moisture (from the atmosphere and from heat changes produced during use) Having established you have only done 750 miles something IMHO doesn't quite add up. I have never heard of 'lack of use' causing excessive moisture levels - especially after 12 months.
Two year intervals is normal for most manufacturers. So assuming the boiling point of the fluid has been tested and found to be below acceptable tolerence then...
Either it wasn't done at two year service as you had been advised OR.....well I will leave you to draw your own conclusions.
I have had mine changed at both of its services (now just over 2 years old) having done one driving day at Brands and one at Spa. Neither time was it near to the limit (I checked it using our own tester at work) - I had it done more as a 'tick all the boxes' ready for the next outing.
