DBS..Battery no longer square....

In fact it's totally flat, despite being rigged up to the trickle doo dah.

Not a glimmer, jot even a glimmer on the trickle optimate thing

Any suggestions. Drove it into the garage a week ago, all was fine. Plugged it in charging ok

Yes, it's fooked.

The cold weather kills them off. One minute they appear fine, the next they turn their toes up. Also, a trickle charger tends to mask the problem.

So you can charge them up, then they lose their charge in no time at all. Time for a new one.

I had this on my few month old S 2 cells on an 8 cell battery dead
Will the car start?
If so check the voltage to the battery once it is running, should be over 13V if it is charging
Check it with the car stopped should just over 12V
If you have a dying battery or current leaking on the car the trickle charger will not keep up

Seems to be lots of variation n these things, my wife's Z4 is still on the original battery and its 9 and a half years old. My Mercs gave up after 5 years. Astons now 3 years old so I suppose could go anytime.

My first roadster coped with several electrical gremlins draining it and it recovered fine
My second the battery gave up the ghost after a sub zero trip round North Wales

Like some here I have batteries that are many many yrs old but this is just under 2, I remember the DB9 only lasted minimal time.

Nothing lasts forever I know but this is not good.

It won't even jump start.

I've plugged it into a better quality C-Tek and I'll see how that goes.

must still be under warranty though surely. sounds odd to have failed so early. you didnt leave something on, like the jacuzzi

You will need to put a better charger on it
The trickle chargers are top up only
I had two decent ones in my S when the two cells went and it still wouldn't charge it
