Expensive Options??

Not really for here but was just having a gander at the other side (Fezza forum) and noted that on the new F12 the following choice options are "available" (amongst many - see the fact that some think that some cars will get 100k of options...)?;

Carbon fibre cup holder £2,112

and

Golf bag £6,240

Makes AM seem value for money, no

Makes AM seem value for money, no

Ish but their coloured brake callipers are now more expensive than Ferrari's at £1k which don't cost either AM or F a bean to put on over & above the standard callipers. Yet other options are priced in relative terms, more sensibly - there is no consistency of margins from any one manufacturer within their option ranges. Also, some AM option prices have tripled in 3 yrs, for the identical part, like say the ashtray which is now about £400 !

Try Q, the differences are even greater. I don't know about the other brands, but if mine is to be believed, AM dealers get relatively little financial incentive for upselling options on new cars which I believe is industry standard but I've never quite understood as surely that is the most profitable bit on a new car for the factory?

F12 specc'd up is close to £300k. Makes the vanquish seem reasonable compared to its apparent 'competition'
