Test drove the new Vanquish yesterday

Normally I'd of gone for the Vanquish, but I don't think I could handle the colour of that one!

IMHO: ok the steering on the Vanqish is a bit stiffer than on the DBS - car pulls a bit harder - it is and feels more modern than the DBS - but i have to say i was kinda more surprised by the new DB 9 - it is a VERY GOOD car way better than the old one and that in all terms

Looking at recent pics of the new vanquish it almost seems as though it may share the same bonnet as the db9 just different vents...

If that's the case I'd put a DBS bonnet on it. Much more aggressive styling. Then I'd replace that front guppy lip spoiler with something like the....DBS front bumper. Or the new DB9 one.
Fill in the gap between the bootlid and the spoiler.
Add a manual option.
Then it's perfect! (For me at least).

Does sound like a tremendous car though.

I test drove new vanq yesterday, looked great in volcano red. Believe me it's in a different league from a vanq S or my current db9 vol. the engine is 90pc new and the way it puts the power down and engine brakes in sport mode is incredible. it's like a carbon fibre lotus Elise with 4x the power. In black with yellow calipers and stitching it looks like a stealth fighter. I was prepared to be underwhelmed by the gearbox but AM have really been able to create Jekyll and Hyde; one moment a very smooth cruiser the next a savage track weapon. I am convinced. Would love to try the new DB9 as a comparison.

They have one exactly like that in Grange at Exeter. Spotted it the other day. The black metallic has a strong silver fleck in it that just makes the car look fantastic in sunlight. If you like it speak to Lloyd.
