City Boot anyone?

Kris (krisdelta) and I are meeting at the City Boot (Moorgate) for a quick luncheon on Friday 7th. Any other City boys are welcome to come along.

This is an impromtu invitation for anyone in the City that fancies a pie and a pint (or a Pinot Grigio for those with palates more attuned to the finer things in life).

We will be there at 1pm.

Would do normally. But I am attending a Speed Awareness Course that day. Still better than 3 points and the first time I've been caught in 33 years. At a cost of £95 that's works out at only £2.81 per annum!


What would happen if on the course I offer to pay in advance for the next 33 years of driving? Will I get a discount?

I only paid £80 for mine (36 in a 30 zone!).

Don't forget to tell your insurer so that they can increase your premiums

Really bad luck! …down to chance really and a good record perhaps reflects that you’re a sensible/mature driver.

I see you qualify for Saga insurance, so your premiums could be lower than most.

I was 2mph over the limit to go on the course!! Now just waiting for the 3 points to come through so I can make my insurance co a little richer.

Poor observation
1) Dual carriageway and didn't spot the speed limit was only 50
2) Didn't spot the camera / camera van


Been told by my staff to look up the definition of contrite before I attend. No idea what they could be referring to...

Disappointed that I didn't get a letter from SAGA this year
