Quicksilver Exhaust for Vanquish (Yes/No?)

Anyone got any throughts re the Quicksilver exhausts for the Vanquish?
Do they really make much difference to the sound? Worth the extra bucks? Easy to fit? (Am thinking just the backbox as a pose to the whole system)

I don't think there are any other options for the Vanquish unless anyone can point any out.
Oh...and if anyone has a secondhand one for sale just let me know : ) £1,300 chips is quoite a bit for a backbox.

mine is a 2006S. it transforms the car. was the best value mod i have ever done to an aston. easy to fit. the old one is very heavy though so needs a few people to hold it while it comes out. doubt it makes any difference at all performance wise although supposedly adds 20hp. the bigger gain is the weight saving. massive.
what is different is the noise it then makes. not any good if you are shy. it is a snarling spitting cackling monster. you take your own tunnel with you wherever you go.
make sure that you ask quicksilver to put four exhaust clips in (it came with two) and ask that the rear section has captive nuts fitted. mine didnt and was a pain in the bum and fiddly to fit that bit otherwise would have been in and out in 30 minutes.
i would change all the under tray bolts while at it to stainless and hex head. i did all the washers as well.

Vanquishluke, what are you thinking? Did I not read once that your, "mint", 8000 mile Vanquish was garaged for years by some Royal family and your car is a new car with an old reg plate?

I suggest you buy a DB9 and play with that on a day by day basis, then go home and drive your Mint Vanquish on a weekend.

Fitted a QS Sport to my DB9 and very disapointed will revert to std back box as sound is wilder.

Yes, it has very low mileage and is mint. I have never seen a cleaner 2004 car, ever. In fact, I only bought it for that sole reason, I was actually selling a mates car at the time. Spent a penny getting little bits done on the car, plugs, leads, wishbones and the engine cradle...which is the usual thing which rusts..especially if the car sits you know. The rest of the car is showroom. I would love to leave it in a glass box and never drive it...but in all honesty its such a laugh to drive I cant help it. I have a 73RS Replica 911 I drive 4 out of 5 days a week to work....sometimes less, as the V12 does sound awesome. Just heard a lot about the Quicksilver exhausts you know. The car has around 11,000 miles on it now...as I have owned it for about 8 months. I have the Aston Extended Warranty which costs a bit, but I think is worth its weight on this car. Had a new AC system fitted for free the other month as well as a few electrical switches. Stamping p the book this week. It had like 15 services under the Royal Family and all the upgrades in terms of discs and gears. Crazy. Still...nice to have one which is so clean. Rare out this way. I wont do many miles on it...but it is hard not too when it sounds so awesome.

Thanks for the comments re the fitting etc. Just seeing if I can get a deal on one and may push the button. Its always hard to get a feel for what they sound like on youtube you know. Need to hear it in the metal. However I have heard many say "Snarling fire spitting beast" ...which sounds ok with me. : )

If you hear of one for sale then please let me know. Otherwise may wait till back in the uK and hear one and then I am sure I will be sold and pick one up in March when i am back. Cheers

I fitted one to an "s" a while back and it sounded epic. Build quality seemed good too..
