Not sure if these have been discussed on here?!

Limited production run of 40 cars. All have Carbon fibre packs. Either red or yellow calipers that I've seen.

They're supposed to be for the US market only? But a US dealer tells me only 6 for the US. So where are the others going? Not the UK as a dealer here has no info on them. And there's nothing on AM's website. I have identified 4 so far:-
S001149 - no.1
S001150 - no.2
S001156 - no.7
S001167 - no.5

I think they look bloooomin marvellous, even if the paint could potentially be a nightmare to maintain!!

Sorry Phil, HATE it, US can have all 40 and keep them for me. Now the one in the background is a different matter.........

+1 I'm in the shiney car club too.

I don't think I have seen any make/model/colour in a matt finish that I would really desire.
But hey...each to their own biggrin

Fantastic look Phil - I'm on record as loving the understated and elegant look of the matt / satin finish yes

Leave the gloss to the blingy brigade smile

Now I'm not normally a fan of the whole matt paint thingy but that has just had a serious reaction with my mans area.

To each his own, but I just don't get the whole matt paint thing. It looks like it's still in primer (nice primer, but primer nonetheless) and they forgot to paint it.

The only good thing I can say about this car is that the V12V wheels look great in black, though this photo doesn't show them off that well

I suppose Aston are at least demonstrating they know their market (s) by not introducing this one to the UK.

It certainly works better on V12V than I imagine it would on almost any other car in the range (it would ruin the DB9 for instance, IMO) and if it sells, that's justification in itself, but for me, it's a few years too late and simply not very Aston.....

Oh dear...

As much as i love v12v's, this is a bit sad.

Aston trying hard to do small ltd editions to flog cars. Reminds me of Lotus.

If only they could have done smthg tastefull like matt grey and steer well clear of black wheels.

This is soooo 2008... In fact this is sooo sh!te.

I wonder if the matt finish will make the car more collectable?

Its very easy to wrap a car in matt plastic, but then just as easy to take it off, indeed I understand that some people change their colour every year or so. I'm just wondering if in a few years to come, the Matt Carbon Fibre series will be collectable? It's the biggest fastest engine and it's got all the Carbon Fibre bonuses, and importantly there will only be 50 of them.

Love them or lothe them, will they be collectable in a few years time? smile
