V8 to V12 and I'm loving it!!!

Hi all. Traded my old faithful 06 V8 in yesterday for a lightening silver V12.
Had a gentle blast over to Skipton this morning and I'm truly smitten!
There seems to be no comparison between the two.

I have just done the same thing, the V12 is a much nicer car to drive slowly, reversing etc.

Excellent & congratulations, a truly awesome car - I made the same move last month.

Did you get the Silver one from JCT complete with Works Service Cameras as I notice they seem to have sold it - very nice car.

You'll now find any excuse to go out for a blast in it

Yes it's from Jct and I've seen the Works stamp in the service book but didn't know about a camera. Have I missed something?
No it's not Lady Topaz's car, same colour etc but mines lightweight seats, Di's has sports and I believe Stratstones in Wilmslow are selling it.
Had the Pirelli Sottozero tyres fitted, which although do seem to 'move around' a bit,should give me more grip til it warms up. Jct are storing the Corsas.

took mine out today for it's first proper run - 2 or 3 hours through the Cotswolds, twice up and down Fish hill , £30 of petrol , no stops and what fantastic value!

Ah, not the same car then. When I looked at a ligntning silver at JCT it had works service front and rear cameras fitted (displayed through sat nav screen - very cool) and I had assumed this was the same but I guess they sold this one and immediately got another lightning silver in to replace it - the one I looked at also had sports seats.

V12V certainly seem to be shifting at the moment.

I believe Jelly would be an apt description. I was surprised when I fitted them, but having had both the grip is significantly better.

Is that just due to height of the tread blocks? Or do they have a more flexible sidewall?

I think the fact that the blocks are shaped as they are and the material being soft with a bit of sidewall into the equation. Definately block movement though.

Why do you want to drive slowly?

It is actually very important that the car drives nicely at slow speed. To me, that's a major appeal to the car.

Try and drive a gt2/3 slowly or any of the so called supercars and judge by yourself...
