Hello - new owner

Having already updated the Owners Wiki with my car and having ben prompted by an existing forum member, I thought I ought to say hi and introduce myself and my new ('Assured') V8V - my first Aston.
So, the car is a '59 plate, 7,000 mile v8 Vantage with Sports Pack, Bluetooth, Cruise control, Premium Audio in Onyx Black. Black Interior, white stitching. Nothing too extreme.
I'm a '70s plate, 42,000 mile, 4 cylinder, single 2"SU carb, switchable Sports Pack, Ceramic tooth, Life Cruise Control and selective Audio in fetching pink.
Visited the dealer on the 2nd., 3rd. and I think 4th. of January - it was beginning to get a little embarassing and I think I drank them out of coffee. Purchased car on the 4th. Picking the car up from HWM this week just in time for the rain on Friday.
Car joins a fleet of other bikes and older, much, much older cars. Previous daily driver was a BMW330D Touring which I had changed from a Range Rover Sport. The BMW whilst being a great car, which did exactly what you expected of it, just left me cold. Couldn't handle it any longer and thought I ought to find myself something more involving and had always hankered after an Aston Martin. Nearly bought new but thought it sensible to 'see how I get on' with a previously owned car first - a couple of my collegues have had early ones and loved them in between various 'issues' (including one being speared by a forklift truck at B&Q).
Typing this I've suddenly realised the only other Aston I've ever driven was a V8 Vantage in the 1980's...and I was a teenager doing part-time work.

Which gearbox?
Thank you all. I was supposed to pick the car up tomorrow, but the wheels are not back from being refurbed until friday 
so the dealer has proposed lending me their demonstrator roadster for tomorrow evening and Friday morning...seems fair enough and to be honest, they didn't really have to, so it's a decent gesture.
Yes, looking to take the plinth off, but I also have a weird hankering to add a race spec coloured detail around the grill, maybe in a dark grey or somthing, it feels wrong, but I think it might look quite good. Got a local wrap company considering it for me...
