Front Brake pad low warning light and alarm message reset

2007 V8V

I've recently replaced pads all round after the warning light came on for low front pads. The sensor had just kissed the disc on offside front.

I replaced the pads and the suspect sensor (no problems) and all is well...apart from brake light warning light and alarm message being on when I start up.I can clear the message but the brake warning light stays on.

I have had it on a fault reader previously to clear the famous emission warning but it couldnt clear the brake warning.

She is off to BR for 6 year service at the end of the month but if its something simple that I can do......

any ideas ?

Did you replace the sensor wire when you replaced the pads? If you press the "read" button to the right if the centre consol it will clear the message until you stop next.

It sounds like a bad connection on the wear warning wire to me, or possibly try a quick battery disconnect.
